Continue the decreases as follows:

Row 1 (RS): Sl3, sssk, keeping continuity of pattern, work in Lace Pattern to last 6 sts, k3tog, k3—110 sts.

Row 2: Sl3, work in Lace Pattern to last 3 sts, k3.

Rep Rows 1 and 2, 25 more times (50 more rows)—10 sts.

Next Row: Sl3, k1, sl2tog, k2, psso, k3—7 sts.

Next Row: Sl1, p5tog, k1—3 sts.

Next Row: Sl2tog, k1, psso, fasten off.

FINISHING

Block the piece. Weave in the ends.

Drawcord

Using dp needles and 3 strands of yarn held together, CO 3 sts.

*Knit all the stitches, do not turn work. Slide all the stitches to the opposite end of the needle. Carry yarn tightly across back of work and knit all the stitches; repeat from * until drawstring measures about 20in/51cm or desired length. Fasten off.

Tassel (Make 2)

Crochet Cap

Using crochet hook and 3 strands of yarn held together, ch 9 sts and join them in a round, mark beginning of round.

Rnd 1: *Sc in 2 sc, 2 sc in the next st; rep from * once, sc in 2 sc—10 sts.

Rnd 2: *Sc in 2 sc, 2 sc in next st; repeat from * twice, 2 sc in the next st—14 sts.

Rnds 3–7: Sc in each sc.

Fasten off.

Cut a bundle of 5in/12.5cm long yarn strands. Tie them all together at the center and fold in half. Pull the fold inside the Crochet Cap. Trim the tassel evenly. Secure a tassel to each end of the drawcord.

Fold in half and loop the drawcord through the two edge cable slits.
